Edward C. von Lange, CFP®, AIF®, CPFA
Head of Business Development, Senior Advisor
Ed began his career as a financial advisor with American Express Financial Advisors and has more than 25 years of experience in investment management, marketing, and business development. He is currently Head of Business Development and is a Senior Advisor for StratWealth.
Ed works with clients to develop and implement successful strategies to reach client’s investment, financial, insurance, and estate planning goals. He also works with StratWealth’s qualified plans division, providing fiduciary and risk management assistance to companies with qualified retirement/401(k) plans, through their eight-step FiduciaryFit Strategy due diligence process.
Ed graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance. He graduated from the College for Financial Planning in 1989 and then earned the CFP designation by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards. In addition, Ed maintains the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor designation (CPFA®), which further acknowledges his desire to consistently recommend what is absolutely in the best interest of the client and he is a Chartered Mutual Fund Counselor (CMFC®). As a member of the Financial Planning Association he is driven to stay current with trends in the industry and pertinent legislative changes.
Ed lives in Marriottsville, Maryland with his wife Karen and four children. He volunteers his time by coaching youth lacrosse in Howard County, and furthers his passion for lacrosse by currently playing in the Maryland Masters Lacrosse League with Koopers Tavern and Glyndon Lacrosse Clubs.
